Equipment Owner Agreement

This Agreement applies to every Equipment Owner who lists equipment for hire or sale on the BLC Plant Hire Platform. It supplements the Terms & Conditions.

1. The Owner's undertakings

• You are the lawful owner of the listed equipment, or are duly authorised to hire it out or sell it.
• The equipment is, and will be at handover, in safe, roadworthy (where applicable) and good working condition.
• Your Listing details - including specifications, condition, region, rate and availability - are accurate and kept up to date.
• You hold all licences, permits and insurances required to hire out or sell the equipment.

2. Listing content and licence

You grant BLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable licence to display, resize and promote your Listing content (including photos) on the Platform and in BLC marketing. You confirm you hold the rights to all content you upload.

3. Fees payable to BLC

You agree to pay the applicable listing tier and/or advertising fees before paid features are activated:

• Free listing: N$0.
• Featured listing: N$150 / month.
• Premium listing: N$350 / month.
• Hero / Modal / Inline / Footer advert: N$700 / N$500 / N$400 / N$250.

BLC does not deduct commission from your hire or sale proceeds; those are collected by you directly from the Hirer/Buyer unless a separate written arrangement is agreed.

4. Responsibilities toward Hirers/Buyers

• Respond promptly to enquiries, bookings and bids.
• Honour accepted Bookings and quoted terms.
• Hand over equipment with a signed condition record and any required documentation.
• Deal fairly with deposits, refunds and damage claims in line with the Equipment Rental and Cancellation policies.

5. Owner's liability and indemnity

You are solely responsible for your equipment and for the hire/sale contract with the Hirer or Buyer. You indemnify BLC against any claim, loss, injury or damage arising from your equipment, your Listings, or your conduct, save to the extent caused by BLC's own gross negligence.

6. BLC's rights

BLC may review, edit, decline, suspend or remove your Listing for inaccuracy, safety concerns or policy breach, and may suspend your account for non-payment or breach of this Agreement.

7. Term and termination

This Agreement continues while you maintain any Listing on the Platform. Either party may terminate on notice; paid Listings remain live until the paid period ends, subject to the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

8. Acknowledgement

By publishing a Listing, the Equipment Owner confirms they have read, understood and agree to be bound by this Agreement and the wider BLC Plant Hire legal handbook.
