Acceptable Use Policy

This Policy sets the standards of conduct for everyone who uses the BLC Plant Hire Platform.

1. You must

• Provide accurate, truthful Listings and information.
• Only list equipment you own or are authorised to hire out or sell.
• Honour confirmed Bookings, accepted bids and quoted terms in good faith.
• Treat other Users and BLC staff with courtesy and respect.
• Comply with all applicable Namibian laws, including safety, tax and consumer laws.

2. You must not

• Post false, misleading, fraudulent or duplicate Listings.
• List stolen, unsafe, unroadworthy, encumbered or illegal equipment.
• Post content that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, harassing or unlawful.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Circumvent BLC's fees by diverting transactions off-platform to avoid legitimate charges after using paid features.
• Manipulate ratings, bids or the Wanted board, or post spam.
• Upload viruses or attempt to hack, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the Platform.
• Use another User's account or share credentials.
• Harvest other Users' personal information for unsolicited marketing.

3. Content standards

Photos and descriptions must genuinely represent the actual equipment. Watermarking third-party images, using misleading stock photos, or omitting known defects is prohibited.

4. Enforcement

BLC may, at its discretion and without prior notice where necessary, remove content, decline or suspend Listings, issue warnings, restrict features, or suspend/terminate accounts that breach this Policy. Serious breaches may be reported to the relevant Namibian authorities.

5. Reporting abuse

Report suspected breaches to blc.bertus@gmail.com. Reports are treated confidentially where possible.
